BayCare Medical Group (BMG) is a physician-led medical group seeking two experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our well-established Adult & Pediatric Neurosurgical team at St. Joseph’s Hospital, a 465-bed Level II trauma hospital located in beautiful Tampa, Florida.

The current team consists of four experienced Board-Certified Neurosurgeons who specialize in treating all surgical cranial, spinal, and peripheral nerve pathology and supported by three advanced practice providers. This is an outstanding opportunity to work with a rapidly growing neurosurgery practice across the greater Tampa Bay region. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, adaptable, and compassionate with a desire to grow within a high-volume, high-acuity specialty.

Key responsibilities:

• Dynamic role with a strong emphasis on inpatient care.

• Work closely with excellent physician mentors during daily inpatient rounding and assisting in the operating room, gaining valuable hands-on experience.

• Evaluating and managing patients in an outpatient clinic setting, including pre-operative and post-operative care.

• Rotate call weekends with other APPs.

• Functioning as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on delivering high-quality neurosurgical care.

• The candidate must have experience in an acute care setting.
• Required experience in neurosurgery.
• Acute Care certification is required.
• Passion for learning and strong interest in working in neurosurgery.
• Board certified and ability to obtain a Florida license.
