Neurohospitalist Advanced Practice Provider Opportunity

BayCare Medical Group – Safety Harbor & Dunedin, Florida
7-on / 7-off | No Nights | Inpatient-Focused Neurology

BayCare Medical Group is a clinically driven, and community-focused organization seeking an experienced Neurohospitalist Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our growing neuroscience team on Florida’s beautiful Gulf Coast. This role offers the opportunity to work side-by-side with an established neurohospitalist physician, delivering high-quality inpatient neurological care at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor and Mease Dunedin Hospital in Dunedin.

If you’re looking for a collaborative practice environment, predictable scheduling, and an exceptional quality of life- this role delivers all three.

About the Role:

As a Neurohospitalist APP, you will play an integral role in managing inpatient neurology patients across two well-respected hospitals. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Inpatient neurology consults and follow-up care
  • Responding to floor calls related to active neurology patients
  • Actively managing and coordinating daily patient census
  • Collaborating closely with neurohospitalist physicians and multidisciplinary care teams

Schedule & Work-Life Balance:

  • 7-on / 7-off rotation
  • 12-hour day shifts (Tuesday–Monday)
  • No night coverage or overnight call
  • Structured schedule that supports both professional fulfillment and personal time

This role is well-suited for experienced APPs who enjoy a fast-paced inpatient setting and are comfortable managing a broad spectrum of adult neurology conditions.

Why You’ll Love Living and Working Here:

Safety Harbor and Dunedin are hidden gems on Florida’s Gulf Coast, offering an unbeatable combination of coastal charm and modern convenience. This is a community where you can genuinely enjoy your time off—whether that means sunset walks along the water, exploring local cafes, or quick weekend getaways.

  • Stunning Gulf beaches just minutes away
  • Year-round outdoor activities: boating, kayaking, biking, and waterfront walking trails
  • Lively downtowns with local restaurants, breweries, art festivals, and farmers markets
  • Easy access to Tampa-St. Petersburg for professional sports, major airports, and cultural attractions
  • No state income tax and a cost of living that’s attractive compared to larger metro areas

If you’re seeking a rewarding neurohospitalist APP role with outstanding work-life balance and an exceptional coastal lifestyle, we invite you to explore this opportunity with BayCare Medical Group.

Qualifications

  • Active Florida APRN or PA license
  • 2+ years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in Neurology
