BayCare Medical Group is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider APRN/PA to join our established cardiology team of 3 electrophysiologists, 6 interventional cardioloigsts, 12 general cardiologists, and 14 advanced practice providers in Safety Harbor, FL. The Electrophysiology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works collaboratively with electrophysiologists, cardiologists, and the broader cardiovascular team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care for patients with cardiac arrhythmias and devices. The APP provides both inpatient and outpatient services, including evaluation, diagnosis, management, and follow-up of patients with electrophysiologic conditions.
Clinical Care:
Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical exams related to electrophysiology.
Manage patients with arrhythmias, syncope, palpitations, and cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs), including pacemakers, ICDs, and loop recorders.
Interpret diagnostic studies, including ECGs, Holter/event monitors, and device interrogations.
Conduct pre- and post-procedural assessments for EP procedures (e.g., ablations, device implants).
Prescribe medications and manage antiarrhythmic therapy under collaborative practice agreements.
Device Management:
Independently interrogate and reprogram pacemakers, ICDs, and loop recorders.
Monitor and interpret remote device transmissions and troubleshoot alerts.
Coordinate follow-up for device patients per guidelines and device clinic protocol
This position requires:
Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Current licensure as an NP or PA in Florida.
National certification (e.g., ANCC/AANP for NP or NCCPA for PA).
BLS and ACLS certification.
At least 5 years of cardiology or electrophysiology experience.
Preferred:
Experience with device programming and remote monitoring platforms.
Experience managing complex arrhythmias.
