We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) to join our specialized Afib Clinic team in beautiful Clearwater, Florida. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients with atrial fibrillation while working alongside a collaborative and multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

As an Advanced Practice Provider in our Afib Clinic, you will play a pivotal role in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with atrial fibrillation. You will work closely with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care and support to patients throughout their Afib journey. This position offers a unique blend of clinical autonomy, direct patient care, and opportunities for professional growth in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients with atrial fibrillation, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing interpretation.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practice guidelines and patient preferences.
  • Prescribe and manage medications, including anticoagulants, antiarrhythmics, and rate control agents, in accordance with established protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Provide patient education and counseling on Afib management, lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and self-care strategies.
  • Monitor patient progress, assess treatment efficacy, and adjust management plans as necessary to optimize outcomes and improve quality of life.
  • Facilitate seamless transitions of care and coordinate follow-up appointments to ensure continuity of care and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and educational activities to enhance clinical practice and contribute to advancements in Afib care.
  • Inpatient consults and outpatient clinic.

Qualifications

 Position requires:

  • Master's degree or higher in Nursing (APRN) or Physician Assistant Studies (PA) from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure and certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in cardiology, electrophysiology, or related specialty, with specific experience in Afib management as an advanced practice provider required.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular pharmacology, electrophysiology principles, and evidence-based practice guidelines related to atrial fibrillation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and communicate complex medical information to patients and families.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and treatment planning in a fast-paced clinic environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, continuous quality improvement, and patient-centered care.
