BayCare Medical Group’s Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Program, based out of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida is seeking a fifth Surgical Physician Assistant to first assist in cardiovascular and thoracic procedures, provide pre and post op management of cardiac patients, including ICU, OR, and floor coverage.  This position will also include outpatient consultative and follow up care.  Ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience as a Physician Assistant in Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery and be proficient in endoscopic vein harvesting.  Call will be 1:5, shared equally.  We are looking for a flexible, team player who is interested in having an interactive role in helping the program continue to grow.

Position requires: Board Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.  Ability to obtain a Florida license.  Experience as a Physician Assistant, first assisting in cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures is strongly preferred.
